I know lead cast bullets need to be loaded down, but I've heard these bullets can be loaded just as jacketed bullets becuase of the coating used. 4/23/2015 · I have used Oregon Trail bullets for quite a few years now in 357 mag, 30-30, and 45-70. They are a hard cast bullet with a BHN around 24. I have gotten better performance pushing them at magnum velocities in my GP100 and M94 Trapper.
